Indie: HARE Finder's Keepers Collection

I bought these... as well as the Illuminated Life collection... and the reformulated First Collection. I wanted to start with this collection because it is just to die for. I love the gold shimmer, the disco glitter, the depth you get from each layer - ahhh these are totally up my alley!

These are packed with glitter, so apply accordingly. I had to push some glitters that were halfway off the tip of my nail back in (if you don't do this, and it dries with glitter half off, you will invariable scratch yourself and leave marks on your body AND you will pick them off leaving weird unpolished hex/square shapes on your nails!). You can see I was lazy with this in my first macro swatch of Reverie in Rubellite >.> *whistling*

I love all of these, but if I had to choose just two, they would be King of Carat Flowers (it seems safe to even wear this to work!) and Golden Years (of course).

You can get these at either Nikole's Etsy shop or at Llarowe. Shades may be OOS at times, but Nikole is usually good about restocking :)

HARE King of Carat Flowers - 3 coats on its own, not my preferred way of wearing it though

HARE King of Carat Flowers - 1 coat over OPI My Pointe Exactly (2 coats). I like this combination best!

HARE King of Carat Flowers - 1 coat over OPI Skull & Glossbones

HARE Oceans of Alloys - 3 coats on its own. This leans quite green on my skintone.

HARE Oceans of Allows - 1 coat over Zoya Skylar. I dig this combo.

HARE Oceans of Allows - 1 coat over Zoya Robyn (not my best combination -_-)

HARE Cast in Bronze - 3 coats on its own. Has tiny square fuchsia glitter, and no apparent disco glitter.

HARE Cast in Bronze - 1 coat over Orly Plum Noir. I like this look better than on its own, I think. The base is quite milky in comparison to the others, so it didn't layer quite so well over a darker shade. Unfortunately, due to my incessent purging, I don't have a medium warm-based purple to swatch over - I think OPI Parlez Vous OPI would have been a good base colour for this one.

HARE Amethystos - 3 coats on its own. This shines predominantly silver to my eye, which doesn't go well with my skin tone.

HARE methystos - 1 coat over Essie Film Noir. But over Film Noir, this is BANGING.

HARE Reverie in Rubellite - 3 coats on its own. This appears to be similar to Cast in Bronze, in that there is that small square fuchsia glitter and no disco glitter.

HARE Reverie in Rubellite - 1 coat over OPI Smitten with Mittens. Gives it a more reddish look.

HARE Golden Years - 3 coats on its own. I find this to have just a little too much glitter at 3 coats, but layered...

HARE Golden Years - 1 coat over CND Midnight Sapphire. HOMG. THIS.. THIS CANT BE. *passing out*

Hope you guys enjoyed that! I know some of you must be sick of all the indie posts... but frankly, my interest has not been piqued by "normal" companies in a long time.

Monday I'm flying out to Dallas for work. I found out we are going to have dinner at the Cowboys Stadium one night. Why? I have no idea. I predict awkwardness, due to being Canadian surrounded by Americans who love football. Oye.

  4. Oceans of Alloys just zoomed right up my "Need It!" list. And I totally hear you about the "normal" polishes--China Glaze always keeps my attention with their special collections and unique colours, but by and large the big makers just aren't keeping up with the awesome trends being set by these indie makers!

  9. I got to Oceans of Alloys and was all 'Oh, that's awesome, I love it' then I remembered I have it at home - already bought it! Hooray! Giving my nails a break from crazy glitters - but soon I'll use these. I got Oceans, Carat Flowers, and Golden Years. Awesome collection - thanks for your swatches and ideas for undies!

  10. I love your swatches! I Own King of Carat Flowers, Amethystos and Golden Years and I also like them best layered, it seems a bit too much of everything when you build them up on their own.

  14. Hi! Do you know if they make any plugins to protect against hackers?
I'm kinda paranoid about losing everything I've worked hard on.
    Any recommendations?
