Reswatch: OPI France Collection polishes

More re-swatches!

At one point I also owned Tickle My France-y (which, has an adorable name!), but it was the newer, redder version that has been shipping from TD for a while now. Oh lord, it looked AWFUL on me. Truly awful. I had to get it out of my collection, so I gave it to my mom. I guess I inherited my dad's skintone, because it looks fab on her. Maybe I can get a swatch pic on her sometime :)

I can't remember how many coats these are >< Either 2 or 3. I tend to remember formulas that are terrible, and none of these standout in that respect.

OPI You Don't Know Jacques - A classic. I like it, but find it a tad dark on me.

OPI Baguette Me Not - I'm always straddling the line between like and dislike for this polish. I'm not sure. I still need to think on it.

OPI Parlez-vous OPI? - I just posted this recently, but maybe it's best to keep my France collection swatches together :)

  1. I love all of these on you!! I have YDKJ, but I don't love it quite as much as I thought I would. I agree, it seems just a little... dark? I need something the same tones, but a little lighter... any suggestions? I wore Essie Hot Coco yesterday and thought it had a tad too much purple in it... it's so hard to find just the right taupe!

I think Baguette Me Not looks great on you... and it went on my lemming list, along with PVOPI. I might have to spend my Amazon credit sometime soon! ;)

  2. I unabashedly love Baguette Me Not. I remember when it first came out someone called it a "mom color," but I think it looks totally chic and gorgeous. Definitely into it.

Also, I find You Don't Know Jacques to be overrated. ...I've never typed that thought out before. Feels good.

  4. Aw this really was a fantastic collection, if only because of YDKJ and PVOPI. Baguette is classy, not sure I'd reach for it first but it is a lovely color.

  5. It's too bad I wasn't into polish when it first came out! I love all the names from this collection!

  6. Better get on it fast before it disappears for good!

  7. I don't have anything else like it, but that's not saying much LOL. I don't have a lot of polishes in that colour-range...

  8. :D I can't imagine Baguette Me Not being a mom colour at all! I kept it in my swap box for a while, but when I swatched it again, I was quite taken by it! So back into the stash box it goes!

LOL, I'm sure you're not alone on the YDKJ feeling ;) The name is terrific, I think that's why it's so popular, to be honest!

  9. I feel like Revlon Stormy is a lighter YDKJ; you have that one, how do you feel about it?

  10. well... I don't really like the formula. I had a heck of a time getting it to self-level. It also seemed to still pull a little purple on me. I guess I need a more brownish taupe?!
