Back to my re-swatch marathon :) These are just some random OPIs!
OPI Ski Teal We Drop - The only polish I picked up from the Swiss collection. 2 coats.
OPI Ecuadorable Coral - Found this at a dusty last year and LOVE IT. Ooo it's so pretty. It leans more orange than coral on me, though.
OPI Green-wich Village - I got this from a blog sale, and don't like it as much as I thought I would. 3 coats.

The teal shade is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteThey are so beautiful
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your super close up swatches! You're awesome! I'm going to follow you now. :)
ReplyDeleteI have to ask... do you use a lightbox, or how do you get your swatch pictures SO perfect? All of yours are amazingly clear and well balanced, it drives me so crazy trying to get mine to look like this.
ReplyDeleteHi Holly! I actually shoot with a dslr and an external flash unit (with a diffuser aka a white plastic bag ballooned over it so the direct flash isn't as crazy). I should really make a post on my camera setup!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, so you use flash instead of light... my camera has a pop up flash, I wonder if putting white tissue paper over that would work. haha! I bought a lightbox but I suck at using it... I do the exposure push but it comes out with this matte finish instead of being clear and crisp, so I'm just doing swatches in indirect sun lately.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip! :)
Omg, I love the color of Green-wich Village, but always pick it up then put it back down because my Nina Ultra Pro Leaf Me Alone is pretty close.
ReplyDeleteI juuuuuuust got Ecuadorable Coral and now I'm suuuuuuper excited to wear it! You can tell because when I'm excited I use a lot of vooooooowels!
ReplyDeleteSweet!! I hope you like it :D
ReplyDeleteHaha, I like the colour too, but for some reason I never reach for it!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely try playing around with your flash! It's worth a shot! :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE the Ecuadorable Coral by OPI. At least in photos I do. I've been looking around online to see if I can buy it somewhere but it looks like the lowest price is around $25... A little out of my price range. Any suggestions as to where I could possibly find it for less or if there is a really similar color out there that is more accessible and less expensive? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi Eve! I guess it is hard to come by since it has been discontinued. Have you tried swapping for it (on makeupalley)? Or would you mind a brighter shade? There are quite a few bright orange shades popping up lately (such as China Glaze Riveting and Pam's Girly Bits Sailors Delight). I hope that helps a bit!
