Busy swatching this weekend!

Thanks for all the good luck for my exam, I think it worked!! I won't find out results for 8 weeks, but I hope I make it onto the right side of the bell curve :)

I have lots of errands to run this weekend to catch up on "life" (Going to Michaels and Five Below, along with Marshalls, Target, Sephora, and COSTCO! I love Costco.

Anyway, here is my Zoya haul from the exchange. I'm half done swatching them, and I also have some other goodies to share :)

Hope you guys have a great weekend!

Reswatch: RBL 360

Updated swatch of RBL 360! Probably the only RBL I bought that I really adore. The others... I'm still thinking if I want to keep them.

Here it is layered with Colorama Rock Me. I'm trying to find a dupe for this topcoat... I've heard maybe Sally Hansen Diamonds, but I'm not completely convinced.

There won't be a new post tomorrow, since I'm going to be writing a 6 hour exam that day \o/ (sarcastic emoticon? LOL) Hopefully I won't be in the depths of despair and spend my night pigging out and swatching some nps I bought on my no-buy (LOL!)

Reswatch: Zoya Pinta

Zoya Pinta - My love for this polish grew and grew... Dupe-ish with OPI Sapphire in the Snow and Orly Wild Wisteria.

It is such a gorgeous base for layering polishes. Remember this? CND Raspberry Sparkle on top...

Reswatch: Zoya Moxie and Dakota

They have been swatched twice, but I think I've only worn Dakota as a full mani once. I still haven't gotten around to Moxie. Agh!

Reswatch: Zoya Dana and Robyn

God I love these polishes! They were some of my first Zoyas (last year's summer Flash collection).

Zoya Dana - Hot pink without being neon. Love it.

Zoya Robyn - Gorgeous blue. There is a cheap dupe available, though: SH XW Blue Me Away.

Reswatch: ChG Emerald Sparkle

This was one of my first China Glazes that I bought in person! DBF picked it out of a clearance box that was sitting really high up (i.e. not in my normal line of vision) in a Sallys :D Time for an updated swatch since I got it so long ago!

ChG Emerald Sparkle - As far as I know, this is the "good" version of the polish. So sparkley. Sorry for the huge glare on the macro picture; I had two layers of SV on this polish since it did dry a tiny bit bumpy from all the glitter :)

Can you ever have too many dark green glitters? I'm not sure. Here are some comps.

Reswatch: ChG Ingrid

My old swatch of this polish really didn't do it justice! The second picture is more accurate unless you're in a good lighting situation :)

ChG Ingrid - One of the two polishes I picked up from the Vintage Vixen collection. Total love for the gold shimmer running through it. One of my favourite taupe polishes!!

Reader Request: ChG Strawberry Fields, OPI Senorita Rose-alita, Zoya Happi

Just a quick comparison for Felicia!

ChG Strawberry Fields and OPI Senorita Rosealita look quite a bit different on clear swatch sticks, don't they...

Reswatch: ChG Strawberry Fields

My Essie reswatches are done now!

How about a summery-pink?

I mentioned in a previous reswatch post that this is very similar to OPI Senorita Rose-alita. I hope some day I can decide which I want to keep. This one is much easier to find, though.

Reswatch: Essie Mink Muffs and Going Incognito

Hope you guys aren't getting sick of old Essie swatches, hahaha XD

Essie Mink Muffs - A warm taupe, maybe just straight up brown. Nice formula. I might own too many of these polishes by now...

Essie Going Incognito - I did not expect to love this polish as much as I do. I actually picked it up reluctantly!

Reswatch: Essie Splash of Grenadine and Marabou

Hi to my new readers who moseyed over from PoP! I hope you are not disappointed with my swatches after reading Piff's glowing description of them LOL. I've reswatched most of my polishes recently and have been posting them over the last few weeks :)

I've been on a no-buy for the month of April (in fact, you can join the no/lowbuy club over on NB, where we update each other a couple times a week on our status :)) so no new pretties until next month! There's still lots to love in my existing stash, though :)

Edit: GUYS! Get yer lil' butts over to Hautelook and buy the BeautyBar.com $40 gift certif for $20! That site sells Lippmann and Butter London with free ship over $39! If you don't have an account yet and have no one else to give a referral to, here's my link to Hautelook (it gives me $10 if you purchase something), but it doesn't matter if you go through me or not. Just buy it!! *ends enabling*

So a couple more Essies today... first,

a hit:

Essie Splash of Grenadine - An unexpected love for this polish from the Resort collection last year. Sooo beautiful, I love it. Perfect formula.

and a miss:

Essie Marabou - This colour is just awful on my skin tone! It looks slightly better in the picture, but in real life... *shudder*. 4 coats (a little too much work for me!)

:)

Reswatch: Essie Marshmallow and St Lucia Lilac

While I'm still wearing Rampage IRL (it chipped yesterday while I was making dinner though! D: I added a layer of Orly MMUtM to cover it up...), I thought I'd show you some re-swatches of some soft, delicate polishes!

These are definitely staples in my collection! :D

Essie Marshmallow - A soft, jelly white. Needs at least 3 coats, though. I believe this is simliar to OPI Funny Bunny.

It looks very nice over glitters. Here is one coat over Milani Gems (which itself is over 3 coats of Marshmallow).

Essie St Lucia Lilac - This is my absolute favourite pale lilac (lavender? geeze I don't know my colours that well :P). There is a tiny hidden shimmer that all but disappears on the nail, but makes the polish seem a little softer. 3 coats.

Comparison: Zoya Marley vs. Essie St Lucia Lilac - Like I was saying before, these are very similar polishes, but I prefer the Essie. The Zoya only needs 2 coats, though.

I've been having super strange dreams lately. Nail polish makes an appearance almost everynight in some capacity... ahhh :S

Illamasqua Rampage

I'm interrupting my re-swatch posts for this amazing polish!

Since I am on a no-buy, I gave DBF my Sephora VIB coupon (he needed some tweezers, since he keeps stealing my Tweezerman and leaving it around the apt!!) and told him about the launch "party" last Thurs evening.

I hinted that I wish I had Illamasqua Rampage, and he delivered! He also brought home the free totebag too, lol. :) He is a good boy!

Jellies tend to freak out when I take a picture using diffused flash (what I generally use), see? It doesn't look like this in person at all!

So I pulled up the blinds and took two pics in sunlight (which I rarely do!):

The application... my god... now I understand why it's called "The Jeebus" on NB.

I have Muse and Milf, but the application of this one is just amazing.

Please tell me which other Illamasquas have such amahhhzing formulas!! Please :)

Reswatch: Orly Country Club Khaki

Orly Country Club Khaki is what I wanted OPI TMF to be on me. If OPI TMF looks awful on you, try and hunt this guy down :) It was from the Prepster collection.

Orly Country Club Khaki - 2 coats

This is my go-to underwear polish.

Here it is with one coat:

and with two coats:
