Deborah Lippmann Across the Universe

I'm sure you've all seen oodles and oodles of this polish by now, but I'm still going to force it on you! :D

I purchased this beauty using my Ebay Groupon. I don't think I'd ever be able to shell out $18 for a polish (I'm assuming I will be eating my own words someday... soon), but $10.82 works for me!

    WOW - this is so amazing on you! Yes, yes, it is untried for me. *hangs head in shame* I had a bunch of broken nubs when I got it, so I saved it for when my nails were better and then uhh... forgot. :( I said I was going to put it on last night after I saw you post on MUA, but then life got in the way... as usual! Maybe tonight??

    How do you do a diffused flash and a bounced flash? Is that fancy camera stuff?

    My flash is a separate unit on my camera (I should take a pic of my setup!) so I can point my flash to the ceiling where the light bounces down onto my nails (bounced flash; you can do it on walls too) or I can cover the flash with a white paper (or in my case a whiteplastic bag) so the light from the flash isn't as harsh as directly pointing at my nails (does that make sense?!)

    Do you think anyone can diffuse their flash? I just use my phone because I have an 8 mp camera.

    You can try and stick some white paper/indexcard/tissue paper (you'll have to play around) over the flash. Maybe there are some better ideas online though XD I don't even have a phone on my camera!

    I've been wearing this for the last two days - it's beautiful! I put it over Yoga-ta Get This Blue - gorgeous! My favorite part are those tiny blue glitters in the background - they make the whole thing POP! I did have 2 chips in less than 12 hours though... maybe it was too many layers? Essie Feed Me, Instant Artificials, two coats YTGTB, 2 coats ATU, Essie Good To Go... that might be a bit much, eh? ;) Thanks for making me wear it!!
