Reswatch: Deborah Lippmann Glitter in the Air

I swatched this a long time ago over a franken I had made, but recently when I got Essie Who is the Boss, I thought it would make for the perfect creme underwear, and decided to reswatch GitA.

I did a comparison post to Revlon Whimsical a while ago, but decided to keep GitA, since I had already used up quite a bit of the bottle (didn't think it would swap or sell well!)

Deborah Lippmann Glitter in the Air over Essie Who is the Boss

This summer is just flying by! The saddest part about it being over is that when school starts again, my morning commute is going to increase by about 5 minutes because of dang school buses on my route! LOL.

I'm going to make a Trandesign haul soon. Are there any polishes from recent (non-indie) collections you've been loving? OPI, Orly, China Glaze, Misa? LAY IT ON ME! ♥

  7. I love Who is the Boss - such a beautiful color, reminds me of sea glass. I just did a transdesign haul last week and picked up most of the Essie and OPI fall polishes (none of which are dupes for each other, FYI). I know some people were bored with the Essies, but I can't resist a gorgeous creme, and especially not a grey or taupe. If nothing else, OPI Every Month is Oktoberfest and/or Germanicure is a must (depending on your skin tone, one or the other might be more flattering - I'm keeping the purple and gifting the red to my SIL).

  8. Love Glitter in the Air (though I have Revlon Whimsical.) I've been trying to find a nice base color (from my collection) for it and didn't know what would be good with it. Now I know. Thanks!

OPI Deustche You Want Me Baby, German-icure by OPI, and Every Month is Oktoberfest; China Glaze I Herd That and I'm Not Lion; and Orly Preamp! I need to do a Transdesign haul soon too! I put it off for too long!

  9. Looks great over Who is the Boss! I may have to try Whimsical over the Essie! I would suggest Misa: Little Hands, Blush Hour; Orly: Snowcone; China Glaze: IV, Tinsel Town

  10. I'm so addicted to the DL formula that I want to buy GitA in spite of the fact that I like Whimsical's glitter density more, and Revlon wears just fine on me. I keep turning to the hubs to throw logic at me!

Transdesign: I just made an order last week for my sister and myself. If you're looking for chunky glitters, the Armour Olympic collection is fun and cute!

  11. Hmm if you can get the DLs on sale (like a B2G1 at Nordstrom's) I would go for it (something around $12?). You do get less glitter density, but it's easier to layer over different colours without changing the base as much. Also, I'll admit DL bottles are super cute. Haha XD Logic doesn't help much, huh..

  13. I hope you like the layering combo! TD hauls are a necessary evil *nods* I'm just a bit sad OPIs cost 6.80 though :( With shipping, it's only a bit less than retail /sigh

  14. I love WitB too! I just find it so weird it pulls blue on me, while it seems to be more green on everyone else, LOL! I love Essie cremes too <3 I'll check out those OPIs! Thanks!

  15. It's hard to "save" lemmings to make a TD order, isn't it? I always feel like I need to order 10+ polishes to make shipping worth it -_-

  16. I agree! My favourite part is those little sort of clear blue ones that flash purple/blue when the light hits it just right. Sooo pretty.

  17. Oh you definitely should fish it out! It's just so pretty!

  18. :D It would be better if the Essie was a bit jellyish, but you can't win 'em all ;)
