If you've been hanging around NB lately, you know I'm in one of my purging moods. I'm about 70% of the way through my stash and I've already set aside 46 bottles for swap or blog sale! It is INSANE. Since I had no regrets from my last purge, I decided to continue on with the main purge question being "Do I love it?".
So today, I'll show you OPI Chapel of Love. This polish is from the Las Vegas Collection. It has the old skinny brush (no pro-wide here!)
- Formula: Sheer, but not watery. It took 4 coats to build to this level of opaqueness. I assume the formula is sheer so you can actually see the shimmer, but it's still a bit too much work for me.
- Colour and Finish: Medium pink with tiny gold shimmer. I think the colour is gorgeous!!
Comparison: OPI Chapel of Love vs. Revlon Sublime Strawberry - The shimmer in the Revlon is silver rather than gold, but the base colour is very similar. The Revlon is opaque in 2-3 coats and has an intoxicating artificial strawberry scent that I cannot get enough of.
Since I am a slave to the scent of the Revlon and don't particularly enjoy applying 4 coats of polish, Chapel of Love is going in the purge box :( I hope I can find it a good home!

How do you advertise a blog sale on MUA when you can't mention anything like that? I def. prefer a sale rather than swapping - I don't want my stash to increase! I LOVE your blog btw. I wish I'd found it sooner - I always see you on MUA and didn't realize you had a blog. I wish the rules there were not so strict. Sorry for the long comment!
ReplyDeleteHey laikabear! :) There's a new blog that compiles MUA blogsales, you can find it here: http://muablogsales.blogspot.com/ They don't update as frequently as snickers did, but it's still a great way to spread the word. Also, there are a couple communities on Livejournal that allow you to advertise polish sales (I believe they are nb_marketplace and polishsale). There may be some requirements (# of positive tokens, for example) to joining those groups, though. I hope that helps, hun! see you around NB! :)
