OPI POTC polishes!

Hey guys! Hope you're having a good weekend so far! I went shopping today and got quite a few goodies, including a few polishes from the OPI POTC collection. They were out of Mermaid's Tears, which I wanted the most, so I still need to find that, but here are the other 3 I picked up. I ended up passing on Sparrow Me the Drama and Skull and Glossbones (as much as I adore those names!), but I may pick them up later.

For now, here are the swatches of the three that I did pick up, since Ulta is supposed to be putting them out tomorrow (though it's been available from other places for a while now!)

OPI Steady As She Rose - A nice pale, greyed out pinkish colour. The formula is pretty normal for this kind of colour, which to me means kind of thin, but not too bad to use. 3 coats needed here; no getting away with two!

Compare with OPI Let Them Eat Rice Cake. OPI SASR looks a lot bluer/purpler than LTERC, which is kind of weird in itself, since LTERC was the bluish nude from the Japan collection (checkout this post at Nailjuice for a comparison of those nudes!)!

Edit: Compare with OPI Mod About You. Someone on NB requested this comparison, so I just added it in here now. You can see they are totally different! :)

OPI Stranger Tides - Wow, I love this colour! 3 coats, but it seemed a bit easier to apply than SASR.

I don't have anything similar to this polish, but I know people are wondering what it looks like next to Essie Sew Psyched, so here is a picture to show you how much you need both :p

OPI Planks a Lot - My favourite out of the 3 I bought (I expected Mermaid's Tears to be my favourite, but since I didn't get it... yet...). There's just something about greyed out purples that just makes purr. This was also three coats, but a joy to apply! Maybe my love for this colour blinded me... it's hard to tell.

And here are a couple comparisons; it's hard to photograph purple, so apologies in advance if these all look pretty close. They aren't really.

Comp with Zoya Malia (I have a terrible time capturing Malia in a colour correct way; it is significantly warmer than it appears here)

Comp with OPI DOiD - I adore both of these dusty purples now \o/ Planks a Lot is like a darker version of DOiD!

I was originally planning on heading out to Woodbury Commons tomorrow, but now it's looking a bit iffy, since both DBF and I are extremely tired from our shopping excursion today LOL.
