I think we all sometimes have regrets about not getting into nail polish sooner and missing out on x, y, or z. I try really hard to ignore those what ifs and just focus on what is easily available now, since I'm sure there's plenty to keep me happy.
That said, I got into nail polish last year, so I just missed PVO and DOiD. Through the power of the internets (MUA swap and TD order) I got these two recently, haha. But trust me, you won't see me staking out Ebay bidding on Unicorn Pee!
I usually believe in supply and demand, but when it comes to nail polish and beauty products, it feels ridiculous. I have no problem using spread positions on interest rates for pricing derivatives or swaps, but nail polish? C'MON! :)
OPI Parlez-vous OPI? - Received a very nice pm on MUA while I was waiting for my flight to Orlando requesting a swap for this! I was pretty happy, hehe. I like it, but I'm still not sure if I love it on my skintone.
OPI Done Out in Deco - Who can resist a polish whose acronym is "DOiD"? Bonus that it is a really nice colour :) I really like this shade a lot! I think it did take me 3 coats, but I wasn't irritated by it at all.
Comparison: OPI Done Out in Deco vs. OPI Rumple's Wiggin' - I don't really have anything close to DOiD, but here it is against Rumple's Wiggin' so you get an idea of how dusty it is! :)
I got DOiD from Transdesign, but it was listed as "Don't Out in Deco" instead of "Done Out in Deco". I was slightly worried that I would receive a bizarre mislabeled polish, but it worked out in the end :) The right polish came, haha.
I added Disqus as my commenting system now, I like it a lot because I can reply individually to people! \o/ Hope it's not too annoying to use! :)

i like both of these on you! and i like disqus cause i don't have to sign in!
ReplyDeleteI love both of these on you! :) I want your nails!
ReplyDeleteUmm... I might or might not have added PVO to my Amazon cart... *shifty eyes*
ReplyDeleteI have a bit of a process I go through with lemmings that works thus:
ReplyDelete1. I see a swatch of a color I love.
2. I ask myself: is it readily available? Do I have a color that's so close its kind of pointless?
3. If yes and no (respectively), I get it. If no to both, I ask myself:
4. Do I have a dupe that will satisfy the lust enough that I don't need it: (Case in point: I'd love to have Unicorn Pee. But if I layer Hard Candy Beetle over a dark blue or purple, its good enough.)
That said, I STILL need a good holo.
Haha yay! I really love being able to reply to a comment and have it indented... ahhhhhhh *bliss*
ReplyDeleteYou're very sweet :) You don't want my righthand nails though, that I'm sure of! :D
ReplyDeleteLOL! As long as it didn't break the bank! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a good system to abide by! I've tried to stick to only buying what I can find in person, but it's easy to fall off that wagon!
ReplyDeleteI should post my Love8Brain 230 franken on my blog soon! I wonder if I can find the pics...
How about NfuOh holos from Fabuloustreet? I have to admit, they are a bit out of my own price range, as gorgeous as they are. My best holo is a Sally Hansen Nail Prisms found at Dollar Tree last summer. That was one lucky day!
Gorgeous. I have DOiD, but now I kinda want Parlez Vous.
ReplyDeleteI really love your nails! Would you tell me now you cut/shape them, please? Thanks you💋
